CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION
When reforming the contents of educational programmes, it is essential that there is a strong emphasis on supporting the curriculum implementation. This should take place in various forms and mechanisms, such as providing formal capacitation programmes to the faculties, organizing many practical workshops and clinics to help teachers to design the educational processes, and offering collected information, practical examples and tips, materials, and tools for the implementation of various contents/courses in a joint platform.
In the KZEMP/QCBS-03 project, the pedagogical developers offered intensive trainings in their own universities where the faculties were introduced with the main principles of the new curricula and where they could start the process of designing the implementation plans for each curriculum, as well as design the process for additional support mechanisms for the implementation in their own universities. To support the faculties, the project Key Experts designed a Syllabus template that can be utilized when designing the implementation plans, as well as a Check list for the implementation plan/syllabus against the criteria of student-centred approach
The second project KZEMP/DS-02 ITE Model Implementation and Strengthening of its Content focused on scaling up the faculty training by providing capacitation to 1,800 faculty members from more than 40 universities providing pedagogical programs. The training included online and offline training weeks where the faculties were introduced with the main principles of the new curricula and where they were given instructions on how to design the implementation plans for each curriculum. The training weeks were followed by an online guidance process with thematic webinar, regional workshops with syllabus peer-review processes, and small group mentoring sessions aimed at supporting the syllabus development within the universities.
On this page, the KZEMP/QCBS-03 and the KZEMP/DS-02 projects have project has collected some materials related to various pedagogical aspects to support the implementation of the enhance model for initial teacher education, including the new curricula. The materials are categorized under various themes and include presentations made in the KZEMP/QCBS-03 and the KZEMP/DS-02 project, videos, website links, open access articles and books, etc.
