The European Students' Union (ESU) is an organization of 40 national student unions with about 20 million students from 45 countries. ESU aims to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level in the European Union, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. ESU offers a voice for students in Europe as an advisory member of the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG).

Since 2003, the European Students' Union has been monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Bologna reforms through the publication of the report "The Bologna Process through Students' Eyes". Through the report, students offer a critical examination of the reality and implementation of the political commitments of the Bologna reforms adopted within the European Higher Education Area.
