On November 09-10, 2021, on the basis of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, a scientific and methodological symposium on the partnership of educational institutions of the countries was held within the framework of the CIS Education Week "30 years of partnership of educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of education, science and youth policy".

The aim of the symposium is to improve the effectiveness of the partnership of educational institutions of the CIS member states for the development of the cultural and humanitarian space of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Deputy Director of the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility of the Republic of Kazakhstan Irgebayev Yerzhan Tursynkhanuly made a report "Implementation of the principles of recognition of education and qualifications of the EAEU, the role of automatic recognition of qualifications for labor migration".

Participants of the discussion platform, representatives of the National Information Centers for the Recognition of the CIS Countries, government bodies of the Russian Federation and integration associations (CIS, EEC), representatives of educational institutions of higher education in the CIS countries, heads of Science and Culture Centers in the CIS countries, independent experts in the field of recognition noted a significant the role of the existing system of automatic recognition of education and qualifications in the educational space of the CIS.

After discussing topical and pressing issues, the participants in the discussion developed the following recommendations to the national authorized bodies in the field of recognition of education, as well as to the CIS Executive Committee:
1. To develop general principles for the recognition of foreign education in the CIS space, to solve current issues, regularly (at least once a year) hold working meetings (conferences) of the National Information Centers on the recognition of foreign education (authorized bodies) of the CIS countries.
2. Schedule a conference of National Information Centers in 2022 to discuss the following issues:
- ways of updating multilateral and bilateral agreements in the field of recognition of foreign education in the CIS countries;
