In the field of recognition of foreign educational documents, a new function has appeared - the recognition of diplomas of academic degrees. The new Rules for the recognition of educational documents were approved by order of the acting Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated July 19, 2021 No. 352, according to which the procedure was transferred to the Bologna process and academic mobility Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Earlier, the awarding of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and a Professional Doctoral Degree was dealt by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the MES of RK. It was carried out by recognizing the equivalence of the degrees indicated by them on a personal application or the petition of the organization where the applicants worked, now you can apply documents through the PSC. The terms of consideration have been shortened, as well as the list of required documents has been simplified.

Work is underway to fully automate the service in order to recognize diplomas of academic degrees without leaving home.
